Preparing for your treatment
Open the section that matches your booking. If you're not sure, give us a call and we'll talk you through it.
Laser hair reduction
- Shave the area 24 hours before your appointment. Laser targets the hair below the skin, so the surface needs to be clear.
- Don't wax, pluck or thread for four weeks beforehand. These remove the root, which is what the laser needs to treat.
- Avoid sun exposure and fake tan for two weeks before. Treating recently tanned skin isn't safe and we may need to reschedule.
- Come with clean skin — no deodorant, moisturiser, makeup or oils on the area being treated.
- Let us know if you've started any new medication, or if there's a chance you may be pregnant.
Laser hair reduction works over a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart, because hair grows in cycles and only some follicles are treatable at any one time. Your therapist will talk through a plan at your first visit.
Other laser treatments — rejuvenation, pigment, redness, vascular
- Avoid direct sun exposure, tanning and fake tan before treatment. Your skin must not be recently tanned.
- Avoid irritating active ingredients, including retinol and exfoliating acids, as advised by your therapist.
- Arrive with clean skin and remove makeup, skincare and fake tan from the treatment area.
- Follow your personalised pre-treatment advice provided by the clinic.
Skin treatments — facials, peels, microneedling
- Pause retinol and exfoliating products as advised by your therapist, depending on your treatment.
- Avoid waxing, threading or other hair removal on the treatment area before your appointment.
- Arrive with clean skin and no makeup where possible.
- Follow your personalised pre-treatment advice provided by the clinic.
Body treatments
- Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area.
- Eat normally and stay well hydrated before your appointment, unless advised otherwise.
- Advise us of any pregnancy, active skin infection, broken skin, recent tanning or relevant medical conditions before treatment.
- Follow your personalised pre-treatment advice provided by the clinic.
