What is it?
CryoPen M is a handheld medical device used for cryotherapy, specifically designed to remove small, superficial, benign skin lesions like sunspots, age spots, skin tags, and cherry angiomas, by freezing them with a jet of nitrous oxide gas, freezing the lesion at -89°C (Degrees Celsius).
Who is it for?
Any client that has any of the following:
- Solar Lentigo (Flat Pigmented Lesions)
- Skin Tags
- Cherry Angiomas
- Seborrheic Keratosis
What happens during the treatment?
We start off with a cleanse and disinfecting the skin. We then freeze off the lesions of concern with our CryoPen M device. Very quick and pain-free treatment. A little bit of a stinging sensation might be present for 20-30 minutes after the treatment but it’s very minor.

Contraindications
- Active cold sores and/or broken skin.
- Certain medications such as Accutane, antibiotics, blood thinners and ongoing Aspirin use.
- Aversion to cold therapy.
Precare & Postcare
- Precare – A clinical consultation to set realistic expectations and outcomes of the treatment.
- Postcare – A sample pot of aftercare gel is given at the end of treatment. It’s recommended to keep out of direct sunlight for 48 hours & always wear sunscreen on the areas treated. Do not pick at the scabs once they form, let them drop off on their own.
Downtime
Little downtime. The lesion will darken and crust over the next 12-15 days and the lesion will fall off on its own.
Frequency
One time treatment. A touch up treatment 3-4 weeks after the initial treatment may be necessary in certain cases.
