SkinPen Micro-Needling

What is it?

Introducing to you our advanced skin needling technology device: SkinPen® Precision Micro-needling System. It gently glides over the skin’s service using tiny micro-needles that penetrate the skin’s surface to stimulate collagen and elastin production. Who is it for?

Anyone that is suffering from the following and is wanting an overall improved appearance of skin texture and barrier.
  • Acne scarring (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation)
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Aged & saggy skin
  • Pigmentation concerns (age spots, melasma, freckles, sun damage)
  • Redness
  • Skin texture and overall health & appearance

What happens during the treatment?

We start off with a cleanse and disinfecting the skin. We then follow through with the needling device slowly going over all the areas of concern. Reasonable levels of discomfort, mainly on the forehead & nose. You’ll be able to hear and feel the vibrations throughout the treatment.

Straight after the treatment, your skin will feel quite warm and tender to touch and will be slight pinkish/reddish in colour.

Contraindications

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Active cold sores and/or broken skin.
  • Certain medications such as Accutane, antibiotics, blood thinners and ongoing Aspirin use.
  • Unable to take on downtime.

Precare & Postcare

  • Precare – A clinical consultation to set realistic expectations and outcomes of the treatment.

  • Postcare – Aftercare products (2 tubes of gel and a sheet mask) are included in the price of the treatment, so you’re all set for the next few days, yay!

    Strictly no active/harsh ingredients for 5-7 days post treatment. Keep it simple. Always wear sunscreen from day 2 or 3.

Downtime

2-3 days maximum.

Frequency

Every 4 weeks. We recommend a minimum of 3-6 treatments depending on your concern, followed by a review.
